Highlights from November’s ProductTank meetups

ProductTanks, created by Mind the Product, are informal meetups that bring local product people together and provide a space to seasoned speakers and new to share amazing product insights.
As we are coming towards the end of the year, there is no sign of slowing down and ProductTanks hosted 58 meetups around the world, and we welcomed back ProductTank Curitiba. A lot of product management insights were shared from discovery to metrics, and in this article we will highlight a few.

Priya Subbukutti, one of our ProductTank organisers, shared:

‘Today marked a special milestone for ProductTank Bengaluru – our 10th event, and what a day it was!
We dived into the theme ‘Building Scalable and Sustainable SaaS Products,’ featuring an exceptional panel of leaders: Deepak HP, Kavitha Sreejith (She/Her/Hers), and Vivekanand Gopalan. Expertly moderated by Roopa Jayaraman, who also graciously hosted us at Odessa's wonderful venue.

It was fantastic to have you on board, Deepak, Kavitha, and Vivek – your perspectives were truly inspiring! Thank you Roopa for helping us curate such impactful discussions and for being an incredible partner for this event.

The learning didn’t stop there! The day ended with an energizing workshop on 'Cultivating a Product Mindset’ led by Sonali Nanda.

Every event reminds me of the power of community, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration. Grateful for everyone who joined us today to make this milestone so impactful. Here’s to more insights, conversations, and growth together!'

Last weekend had a great jumpstart at KONZE. A meet-up for product leaders & individuals aspiring towards it.

I got an opportunity to attend the meet-up where we product leaders discussed How a Successful Product is Developed & the Upcoming Trends in the Digital Era. Indeed, it was worth being a part of this meet-up.

Kudos to our Speakers (Bhavika Patel, Paresh Mansingani & Shaishav Amitbhai Shah), Organizers (Pranjal Sarkar, Hemal Bhatt, Shivam Sharma, Parjanya Pandey) & all the attendees.'

'The Cologne ProductTank community is awesome! It's a place where so many cool product people come together to learn and network. And with Tim Herbig as our guest this time we got deep into discovery challenges this time.

It sounds so simple to just do Discovery. But in reality we face:

All in all it's been a super fun evening. Was awesome seeing so many people in person again. Igor Ianishevskyi, Silke Kanes, Konstantin Diener, Larissa Jeske, Bettina Heinlein, Manuela Schmid, Thomas Steinborn, Elias Höfer, Tim Buesing, Kirandeep Kaur, Sonja Lorscheidt, Maksim K. to just name a few. With 90+ people there it felt like I could not even properly say "hi" to everyone.

One of the organisers, Felipe Cordoves shared a summary:

'The community continues to grow and we closed the year in a big way talking about innovation and how the local ecosystem has been evolving in its product mindset. We had 2 great speakers from the entrepreneurial ecosystem and technology leaders.

🎙️ Juan Manuel Sobral, Founder and CTO of SpaceDev, Founder and CTO of SpaceDev, took us through his entrepreneurial journey, sharing unique lessons from creating products and the challenges behind each project. We also discussed the differences between products and services.

🎙️ Santiago García da Rosa, CTO of LYNK Markets, shared how to build a strong product culture that unites teams and creates real impact on outcomes.

 About 50 people attended, which is a great number for our country. We are very happy and we want to share it with the worldwide community.'

'Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend Product Tank Curitiba, an event that brings together professionals passionate about product development and innovation. The event took place at EBANX and was an incredibly enriching experience, full of learning and meaningful connections.

During the event, I had the honour of listening to two amazing product leaders give talks. Quezia Mara Miyazaki de Paula's presentation offered valuable insights into metrics, emphasizing the importance of using metrics that truly make sense to improve products and guide strategic decisions. Meanwhile, Diogo Becker discussed scalability in product development, sharing practical knowledge and methodologies used to address challenges in this area. 🤯

Beyond the inspiring content, it was a very special opportunity to network with others product people, exchanging experiences, and broadening my perspective on the product world.

For me, events like these reinforce how essential it is to connect with the community and keep learning. If you work with products or are interested in the field, I highly recommend attending the next meetups!'
